The Zug Technology Forum can look back on a successful and eventful 2025. The focus was on innovative events, networking and cooperation in the Zug region and surrounding area, the promotion of start-ups and, last but not least, strategic decisions. Back in January, at tfz Start-Up Insight's, which was held in collaboration with Klima Charta Zug+, sustainability-oriented start-ups were able to present their business models and network with experienced industry representatives. Further opportunities for entrepreneurs to showcase themselves were provided by the Zug Young Entrepreneur Award 2025, which honoured outstanding young companies for the 20th time.
With Zug Innovation Day 2025, the tfz focused on networking and cooperation as drivers of innovation. The event brought together representatives from companies (from SMEs to large corporations), research and public bodies. Under the motto ‘The Future of Eco-Systems – The Impact!’, participants discussed how ecosystems can drive innovation and sustainable growth. Innovative examples of ecosystem interpretations were vividly presented by companies, universities, start-ups and institutions. The tfz acted as a bridge builder – a promoter and sparring partner that brings science and industry together.
On a smaller scale, the tfz 2025 also promoted the continuous transfer of knowledge among its members. Several ‘tfz Cluster Insights’ events were organised throughout the year. Examples such as post-quantum cryptography, the Cyber Resilience Act, smart factories & IT/OT convergence and AI topics were the focus of the various clusters. Accompanied by lunch or aperitifs, participants were able to take advantage of the opportunity to acquire new specialist knowledge, exchange best practices and establish contacts across industry boundaries. Here, too, the tfz offered its members an ideal platform where they could be informed, network and be inspired.
At the beginning of the new year 2026, the Technology Forum Zug is already setting an early tone in its role as a technology promoter with its ‘tfz Start-Up Insights’ event on the topic of robotics. The aim of this popular event format this year is once again to promote cooperation and actively shape the future of robotics together. Participants can look forward to inspiring pitches, networking and match-making discussions, and practical insights into new technological solutions.
